After the launch of the Nissan Leaf, Nissan took a good decade to present the new Ariya in the middle class in 2020 at the Yokohama Motor Show. It took even longer until the final start of production in 2022 due to delivery problems with semiconductor components. In the meantime, the competitors VW and Hyundai have already been able to place their competing models in this class. In the middle of the northern German winter, we were able to test the brand new Ariya extensively in the highest equipment variant, the Evolve Pack, in inhospitable conditions.

With the expiry of the premiums for plug-in hybrids, the full hybrid variants are not only becoming more interesting in terms of the purchase price. So it's no wonder that the manufacturers are adding a few nuances to the full hybrid theme. The new Qashqai and X-Trail as "e-Power" versions rely on the drive via the electric motor. Completely revised: The new Nissan Leaf has not only been completely renewed technically, but also externally. Two classics on the European market for e-cars have once again been heavily revised for the current model year. On the one hand, there is the Renault Zoe ZE 135 in the small car segment, which this year will compete with the revised e-Up and the Opel Corsa-e. On the other hand, the Nissan Leaf e + is the direct competitor to the new VW ID.3 in the compact car class.
The Evalia has already proven to be consistently functional in the first test by green car magazine. It is still a practical cuboid on four wheels with a clear seating position for the driver. With the external dimensions of 1,85 m high and 4,56 m long, it doesn't have to fear the competition. Now Nissan is relying on even greater acceptance with the new price list. With the larger battery, prices start at 28.660 euros net and there is a limited "2.ZERO" edition.
The Nissan Leaf is one of the best-selling electric cars in the world. The motto of the most powerful version with the model suffix "e +" is characterized by the attributes faster (0-160 km / h in 6,8 seconds), higher (160 kW / 217 PS engine) and further (range up to 500 km) the end. For years, the previous model has been used frequently in the city area due to its acceptable range. In the current, completely revised version "e +", there is a plus of a very sporty driving style and a significant increase in range compared to the basic models.
