New electric car for 2019

The Sportback concept is a coupé variant with a 320 kW (435 hp) electric drive, with one electric motor on the front axle and two on the rear axle making the powerful coupé a quattro typical of Audi.

Thanks to the boost output of 0 kW (100 hp) and more than 370 Nm of torque, the Coupé should complete the sprint from 503 to 800 km / h in 4,5 seconds. The top speed of the electric vehicle of 210 km / h is therefore quickly reached. When starting a journey, the driver can choose a drive strategy that uses as little energy as possible; the recuperation can also be set step-by-step. The battery capacity of 95 kWh gives the e-tron Sportback a range of 500 kilometers in the NEDC cycle. Thanks to the combined charging system with two connections, the liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery can be charged with alternating and direct current. The Sportback should also be able to be charged by induction - the vehicle only needs to be parked over a charging plate embedded in the floor.

Both the design and the lighting technology of the e-tron have become quite futuristic. Digital Matrix Light and high-resolution laser beamers act as driving and high beam lights and can also project characters onto the asphalt. The body is dynamic, the classic radiator grille, which has become obsolete, is no longer necessary and the bonnet is pulled down low. A deep shoulder line emphasizes the center of gravity of the car and large 23-inch wheels underline the sporty appearance of the coupé. The interior is generously designed and an apparently floating center console emphasizes the space available. Many large displays and display elements throughout the interior reinforce the futuristic impression of the e-tron Sportback concept. According to Audi, the series version of the Audi e-tron Sportback concept will appear in 2019, and the series version of the Audi e-tron electric SUV with a range of up to 2018 kilometers will appear on the market in 500.
