E-camper Renault Caviar Motel - Premiere at the IAA

After the Hippie Caviar Hotel 2021 study, Renault is bringing out another camping version at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2022 for hobby campers and sports fans as a show car. The Hippie Caviar Motel based on the Kangoo Rapid E-Tech Electric is the more compact version of the hotel and is a mobile companion for all outdoor sports activities and outdoor experiences. The trade fair premiere is planned for the IAA for commercial vehicles in 2022

According to the manufacturer, the camper, which is powered by an electric motor, has a range of up to 258 kilometers and can be charged within 30 minutes using the CCS fast charging connection for a further 170 kilometers.

Emission-free camping

The Hippie Caviar Motel owes its flexibility for storing sports equipment or recreational boards to the storage options of a Kangoo Rapid. With the roof rack, skis or boards can be carried on top. The large doors can be opened wide for all bulky items. A panoramic roof can provide views of the starry sky from the rear seat bench that has been converted into a bed.

When it comes to sustainability, the Hippie Caviar Motel also uses recyclates as a contribution to climate protection and resource conservation. For example, shelves and the interior floor are made from recycled tires and reused cork.
