Electric Renault Hippie Van celebrates its premiere

Renault is putting a moving hotel on wheels for glamping fans. An electric camping van study is celebrating its premiere at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon and comes up with a number of highlights. This includes, for example, an exclusive equipment up to the delivery drone, which is supposed to deliver online orders directly to the roof of the camper.

The Hippie Caviar Hotel is supposed to pick up different trends in the glamping sector. As a purely electric van study, it is a milestone for Renault on the way to emission-free mobility for camping fans. In addition, a number of comfort details are integrated up to the open air event roof. The first details will probably be integrated into the announced Renault VIP vans in the future. The battery-powered Renault Trafic will make its market debut in 2022.

Tradition meets evolution

The front section was taken over by Trafic. Two-tone paintwork is the trend for leisure vans and the tradition of the Estafette in the camping version from the sixties is taken up in the show car. High-quality natural materials such as leather, wood, linen and wool are used in the interior. The generous double bed measures 145 x 195 centimeters and can be used both in the cabin and outside the vehicle at the rear. When the tailgate is open, side curtains can be attached to protect from eyes and insects. It can also be positioned in the interior as a lounge-style seating group. With this flexible use, diverse uses are guaranteed.

When the weather is nice, the event roof is a special highlight. The roof terrace can be reached via the outer ladder, which is comfortably inviting with a low lounge table and two foldable armchairs. This can be an experience under the stars, especially at night.

If you don't enjoy enough comfort, you can finally book exclusive services. This includes a logistics module with a wet room, sanitary facilities and charging station, or the concierge service, which has online orders flown in by drone. The delivery of bicycles or PLEV mobiles for short-term excursions in the immediate vicinity is just as conceivable.

Conclusion

The study offers a comprehensive insight into the trends at Renault for the premium segment in the camping sector. The various developments in the service area for vans and the comfort features are particularly interesting.
