Mercedes-Benz Vans is expanding its electric product portfolio

The entry into the emission-free future at Mercedes-Benz Vans started on the last mile in the transport segment with the eVito in 2018 and the eSprinter 2019 with purely electric drives. Now follows the newly introduced eVito Tourer for passenger transport. The concept is envisaged as an emission-free vehicle for ride-sharing services as a shuttle service vehicle or as a large-capacity taxi. We were able to gather our first personal impressions at a press presentation by Mercedes-Benz Vans in Berlin.
In a dialogue with Andreas Böger, Head of Sales New Vehicles, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Vans Germany, we look to the future of emission-free vans.

Mercedes Benz has been defining its electrified car models using the abbreviation "EQ" since 2016 and promoting the new concept with the slogan "Electric Intelligence". Over the next few years, the premieres of the BEV models will be in the foreground of the concept models presented. The plug-in hybrids already have a permanent place in the Mercedes product portfolio. From the A to the S class, there are versions with petrol and diesel engines. The test reveals the character traits of the new A-Class with two drives.

One of the most popular delivery vans in Germany has a purely electric counterpart by its side - the eSprinter. Mercedes-Benz's commercial customers will in future be able to choose between the conventional combustion engine and the emission-free electric motor for the Sprinter. Electrified V-Class - World premiere of Concept EQV

After the presentation of the e-Sprinter and eVito last year, Mercedes-Benz Vans has now also discontinued the V-Class with an update for the future. In addition to the conventional drives, the V-Class will be launched with an electric EQV version. According to the manufacturer, technical details are a range of up to 400 kilometers and the rapid recharging of energy for a range of up to 100 kilometers in just 15 minutes. In addition, the vehicle should offer maximum comfort in the interior and maximum functionality, for example with its diverse seat configurations.

Mercedes Benz Concept EQV - world premiere in Geneva

In addition to the EQ series in the passenger car sector, the automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is working on the expansion of electromobility in the small van sector. The facelift of the V-Class was presented in detail as part of a presentation.
