The second generation of the ASX, introduced in 2023, inherits the previous model built since 2010. While the predecessor still had all the Mitsubishi genes, the new generation for the European market is a rebadged Renault Captur with the Mitsubishi brand logo and an adapted radiator grille. It is now intended to fill the gap after the previous model is phased out.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross radiates its own character in the selection of city SUVs with its own accents. An almost usual, powerful radiator grille is emphasized by narrow LED lamps, strong lines and planks on the sides emphasize the wedge shape and large-format 18-inch wheels let it roll calmly on its everyday use. The current Eclipse is striking and unmistakable. We drove it in the winter test as a plug-in hybrid.
For Mitsubishi, the Outlander is a figurehead in sales and corresponds to the current zeitgeist. This year, no other SUV will be registered as a plug-in hybrid more often than the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. For the next few years, the interior and drive were upgraded accordingly.
The heavy and 4,70 meter long Outlander as a plug-in hybrid is enjoying a growing fan base. In the SUV with off-road qualities, it stands out from the purely conventional engines with a good third of all new registrations. The model maintenance measures primarily concerned increasing the electric range to up to 54 kilometers and the bidirectional use of the battery in everyday operation.
