EXIT - the global automobile manufacturer's electric car offensive

The planned innovations in the Euro 7 standard from 2025 is a challenge for all global manufacturers. In the first half of 2021, most manufacturers have already set their exit scenarios from the internal combustion engine with a specific date following the announcements made in recent years. As a discontinued model, the combustion engine will only be of interest to car markets without clear specifications for the manufacturer. A look at the exit scenarios of the traditional manufacturers shows clear differences.

The sting of the fading diesel scandal seems to be driving the motivation for new, ambitious, climate-friendly projects at Volkswagen. Under the slogan 'Way to Zero', VW has visualized its plans to decarbonise the company and its products. At least on the balance sheet, Volkswagen wants to be climate-neutral by 2050 at the latest. The goal that was already propagated in 2018 of reducing CO2030 emissions per vehicle in Europe by 2% by 30 has now been recalibrated and set at 40%. Volkswagen ID.4 - driving fun through chassis technology

In 2017, Volkswagen presented the ID.Crozz SUV as a concept vehicle. According to the brand management board Ulbrich, the ID.4 is to become a global SUV project: "A real world car that we will produce and sell not only in Europe, but also in China and the USA." ID.4 is to come onto the market as a carbon-neutral vehicle.
