Renault continues to expand its range of electric cars. Below the modified ZOE, the Twingo ZE is a special “Vibes” model in the small car segment as a competitor such as the e-up! at the start. From August 2020, the special model can be ordered in white or flashy orange. The starter package includes 16-inch wheels and the well-known EASY LINK online multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen. The deliveries should then take place at the end of this calendar year.
The price is 25.666,21 euros for the special model. From the fourth quarter, Renault promises further equipment versions as order options, which can be delivered from spring 2021. According to the manufacturer, the Twingo ZE Vibes version has been included in the list of eligible vehicles for the environmental bonus. A total bonus of 10.000 euros is to be granted.

According to the manufacturer, the achievable ranges according to the WLTP test cycle are up to 270 kilometers or a combined 190 kilometers. The Twingo ZE takes over the CHAMELEON CHARGER battery charging system from the Renault ZOE. This allows the electric Twingo to be charged in 1 to 3 phases, from 2 to 22 kW. The fastest charging time is at the charging station with 22 kW (400 volts / 32 amps /
3-phase) achieves a battery capacity of up to 80% within a good hour.
So far, the Renault Group's battery-powered model range comprised the compact 5-door ZOE, the Kangoo ZE delivery van, the Master ZE full-size van and the two-seater city runabout Twizy. With the Twingo ZE, the range in the small car segment is being expanded.
The Twingo ZE is the compact city electric vehicle for short journeys and commuters. The level of demand will be interesting in the coming months. Interesting is the price-performance ratio with the environmental bonus granted.
